Our Story
Our nonprofit organization is the brainchild of Kathy Everett-Gaines and Irene V. Jackson-Brown, PhD, CSA, CMC. Their vision was clear. They wanted to create a powerful network that communicates knowledge and shares resources to support women and men of color in their efforts to enhance the lives of seniors.
The first gathering of Women of Color Who Serve Seniors took place in the fall of 2011. Thirty women of color came together, representing a full range of care services in both medical and non-medical arenas. That first meeting built the foundation for a growing movement rooted in service, excellence, and community.

Built on Service and Collaboration
We believe collaboration strengthens care. Our members represent a wide range of professional backgrounds and specializations. Together, we create a trusted circle of support that improves seniors' access to services.
Our Growth and Recognition
We continue to expand our reach and strengthen our professional partnerships. In 2012, we joined the Prince George's Senior Provider Network. In 2015, we joined the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW). That same year, we were recognized as an honorary business by Who's Who.
These milestones reflect our commitment to professionalism, leadership, and service within the senior care community.
